Collaboration with Ivani\u0161in.Kabashi.Architects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In June this year, the architectural studio Ivani\u0161in.Kabashi.Architects<\/a><\/strong> held an ad hoc retrospective exhibition of his works. At the large PVC banner measuring 2.3 x 15 m<\/strong> Plans and cross-sections of their projects were displayed \u2014 architecture translated into lines, textures, and layers of space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the exhibition ended, the banner lost its original function, but not its value. In order to avoid wasting material, the architects contacted me with the desire to repurposed<\/strong> banner lady new life<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n

From banner to bag<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each bag is handmade, and due to the fragmented print, each one is unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special element of this project is handles made from original belts<\/strong> with which the banner was placed in the exhibition area. This closes the full circle of material \u2014 every part of the exhibition was reused<\/strong> and integrated into a new product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Result: recycled banner bags<\/strong> which connect functionality, aesthetics and social responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why do projects like this make sense?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration shows how design can be a tool for change<\/strong> and how the material can have second life cycle<\/strong>. Instead of ending up in a landfill, the banner and its parts become permanent promotional product<\/strong> who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • reduces waste and encourages circular thinking,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • carries aesthetic and symbolic value,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • conveys a message about responsible and socially engaged business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    For companies, museums, cultural institutions and agencies, this is a way to they turn exhibition and promotional materials into unique products<\/strong> who continue to tell their story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
