But profanation is not the same as desecration: the goal is not cheap mockery but democratic appropriation, i.e. the dispersion of the garment&#039;s symbolic power in order to make it accessible and attractive to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The secondary aspect of this work is performative: an exploration of the intersubjectivity between persons with a profane collar and the environment that will react to them in public space. If, when meeting a priest, we are forced to follow a given ritual pattern (\u201ePraise be to Jesus and Mary\u201c \/ \u201eAmen\u201c), the profane collar liberates and encourages spontaneous reactions: wonder, discomfort, laughter \u2013 in short, freedom of speech and behavior.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uniforme su javni \u010duvari ideologije.
